Thank you for this sample, I’ve been searching everywhere for an RSS reader in AS3. I have one issue though, when I try and play the file it comes up with this error:
TypeError: Error #2007: Parameter text must be non-null.
at flash.text::TextField/set htmlText()
at Main/showTwitterStatus()
at Main/finishLoadingXML()
at flash.events::EventDispatcher/dispatchEventFunction()
at flash.events::EventDispatcher/dispatchEvent()
at flash.net::URLLoader/onComplete()
Make sure you have unzipped the folder and all the files are still in the same directory

I’ve tried and get no update. I even went as far as uploading your files to a hidden directory and all work fine. That is, I received the latest tweet that you put out, but when I changed the twitter ID to my own it didn’t update at all. What could I be missing? Help

My user id end in .rss not .xml
How do I get it to work with that?
You can replace the .rss at the end with .xml, in the URL. It will display the same results.
